Overview

The Data and Analysis workstream are offering a bespoke day which focuses on working collaboratively, to deepen knowledge and understanding around the use of data to inform, plan and improve outcomes for children and young people. Delivered through a mixture of workshops and seminar, this event is designed to improve skills in understanding and interpreting data (particularly around progression between sectors), develop skills in creating the written narrative using such data and use data to plan improved outcome for children and young people. This event is particularly aimed at Primary/Secondary PT’s/DHT’s and HT’s (preferably in cluster groups)

Structure of Day

10.00 Start – SEIC Videos, with a message from Carrie Lindsay SEIC Lead

10.15 Keynote speaker Fiona Robertson, Head of Education and Children’s Services, East Lothian

The Power of Data in understanding your school/cluster.

10.45 Seminar – The SSR – Interpretation (Stuart Booker and Fiona Robertson)

11.30 Workshop – The SSR – Creating the narrative (Stuart Booker and Fiona Robertson)

12.30 Lunch

13.15 1 X SNSA Workshop (1.5 hours) or 2 x 45 min Workshops (Insight and BGE toolkit)
