We’re excited to invite North Mcr* grassroots organisations, youth workers, and community leaders to take part in a brand-new training programme designed to strengthen support for young people across Manchester. (*North Mcr = Cheetham Hill, Crumpsall, Miles Platting and Newton Heath, Harpuhey, Clayton and Openshaw, Charlestown, Higher Blackley and Moston).
Delivered in partnership with 42nd Street as part of the Making Manchester Fairer Kickstarter Project, this training explores how staff self care, burnout — with a focus on creating a stronger and more resilient workforce that offer safe spaces for young people aged 11–25.
What you’ll gain:
- A trauma-informed understanding of the unique challenges faced by staff navigating Self Care and Burn Out.
- Practical techniques and tools for responding to your own crisis and supporting self - resilience.
- Strategies for embedding inclusive and reflective practice into your organisation.
- Space to reflect, share, and learn alongside other grassroots and VCSE practitioners
This training is free, fully funded by Manchester City Council, and open to grassroots organisations in the 15 most deprived boroughs of Manchester. Your time will be recognised and reimbursed (£15 ph) to help remove barriers to participation.
