This is an interactive session for LGBTQ+ people to explore what self-care looks like, examine areas of our lives and set small actions to create a personalised self-care plan.
What is this session about?
Self-care.
Do you often resolve to do things to look after yourself but something gets in the way? Not enough time? Or it’s never on the top of your to-do list?
Explore theory & reality and define self-care. We’ll examine what it is, what difference it can make, how to start a plan for self-care, and maintain it.
Through interactive exercises, a presentation, facts & stats and discussion we will explore self-care, obstacles, ideas, what gets in the way and how we can improve our well-being. You will have greater self-awareness through exercises and come away with your own personalised self-care plan for healthier, happier well-being for 2021.

Why should I come?
Given lockdown again, the uncertainty and huge changes to our lifestyle, looking after ourselves is key to maintaining good physical, emotional health, and well-being. Looking after your own well-being enables you to look after your relationships and interactions better, with greater clarity, confidence, and energy.
This session will examine the importance of self-care, what it is, and what it isn’t, and how to include it into your life for your well-being. You’ll come away feeling:
More connected with other LGBTQ+ members
More informed about ways to look after yourself
More confident in how you manage yourself and your relationships
More self-aware and confident in accessing other services available
Lighter with your own personal self-care plan to use for 2021
Who will be leading the session?
Deni (her/she) Trainer and Facilitator with Rita (her/she) of Club Kali Network who will support this event.
