Event description

Here are just some of the reasons why you should take up Self Defence:

It builds confidence

Self Defence classes can help you build confidence in yourself, allowing you to become more assertive

It helps you develop your reflexes

You can’t stand around and wait for an attacker’s next strike, you have to move. Self defence classes will help develop your reflexes. This will allow you to move quickly and smartly in situations.

It works on your balance and co-ordination

Our sessions will help you focus on your balance and co-ordination, while protecting yourself from a potential attacker.

Through gaining your body control and balance, you will be better prepared to protect yourself

It helps develop self-discipline

You have to be motivated and dedicated to the practice. In order to be better protected-you have to keep practicing. Actually going to class and showing up on a regular basis develops discipline.

Taking these types of classes will get you focused on your personal protection and on your surroundings

It helps improve your physical conditioning

Training and practicing prepares you for the adrenalin dump when a situation arises that may require you to protect yourself

You could likely experience what is called an adrenalin dump, if someone tries to attack you. It’s your body’s way of responding to the fight or flight situation.

Physical conditioning will help you develop your reflexes and your situational awareness

It helps improves your street awareness

Self defence classes will make you more aware of your surroundings. You’re never planning to be attacked, but any potential attacker is the one with the plan.

Self defence classes will help you increase your awareness at all times and ready, should this type of situation arise. Always be aware of your surroundings.
