Self Defence in Limehouse Seminar

In response to the recent attacks and provocations in the Limehouse and Shadwell area, Self Defence For Women has partnered with the RMF Gym in Westferry to bring you this incredibly informing seminar, aimed at improving your safety.
Most self defence techniques are just not applicable in the real world. They are either ineffective against larger, stronger opponents, or are so violent, they are often illegal if used successfully.
In this one hour seminar, you will learn
- Situational awareness, and how to remain alert at all times.
- Covering the use of force, or what is reasonable and unreasonable in the eyes of the law.
- And finally, covering weapons and sprays for personal safety.
The aim of the seminar is for you to feel more confident in awareness of dangerous situations.
Our aim this year is to help 100,000 women become more confident in real world self defence techniques.

At Self Defence For Women London, we specialise in providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, and we’re open to everybody regardless of your level of fitness.

Our self-defense classes use a combination of Muay Thai kick boxing, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and mixed martial arts techniques to teach you how to…

  • Defend yourself against punches, kicks, and other attacks.

  • And control an opponent, including how to fight them on the ground

  • You’ll also master common self-defence scenarios, like how to get out of a hold if somebody grabs you

  • You’ll be advised, and tested, on personal and situational awareness to avoid confrontation altogether.

  • Your self-confidence will improve, and you’ll feel safer and more secure.


Our coaches are well-trained in self-defence and they’re kind and courteous – no intimidation.

They have all been qualified in BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Self Defence Instruction, which proves that they have undergone a structured approach to learning and development for self defence.
