About this event

This talk is designed to give you an understanding on why people develop self-driving cars, what is the state of the industry today and the future of the automotive industry.

Ben is currently pursuing a full-time MBA at Imperial. Before starting his MBA course, Ben had been an Engineer at AVL UK for over three years. AVL is the world’s largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of powertrain systems with internal combustion engines (ICEs), which are applied to passenger cars, commercial vehicles and more.

Previously, Ben had also held Engineering roles at Jaguar Land Rover and Dyson.

In this event Ben will discuss his time leading the engineering team at AVL to define, develop and validate the company’s first Connected and Autonomous Vehicles project and self-driving cars in general.
