Event Details

The world needs graduates, who are innovative, dynamic, smart, daring, efficient, determined, modern and employable or in one word, Entrepreneurial.

The world of work is constantly evolving and jobs for creatives are often increasingly hard to come by.

Guest speakers will talk about their experience of running a creative business. We will also cover at the importance of the Entrepreneurial mind set when thinking about starting out in business and both the challenges and opportunities that self-employment presents.

Speakers:

Steve Price - Superdream

Steve Price is a Creative Director at Superdream

Steve is a searcher who creates the best work for our clients we need to uncover the truth about them. Finding that truth, then turning it into compelling and entertaining propositions, is what drives the creative director. Heading up his creative team after spending 30 consecutive years working in the industry, he is a rare, multi-skilled creative who remembers agency life before the internet. Before computers even. Steve sets the creative bar and makes sure everyone at Superdream knows where it’s set. Outside of the agency, Steve is a husband, father of two girls, pub singer, golfer, illustrator, beach lover and motorcyclist.

Organiser

Worcester Enterprise

At the University of Worcester we believe that entrepreneurship provides opportunities for our students, enhancing their career prospects after graduation, empowering them to start their own business and enabling them to cope with an ever changing world.

We do this by supporting students entrepreneurial development through curricular programmes and extra-curricular activities. All students are offered enterprise electives in both their first and second years. Through our student incubator, media lab, training programmes, competitions and pop-up retail units, we connect students with the global networks, resources and know-how that allow them to succeed. Our student enterprise society provides a range of activities which enable entrepreneurship at the university to have a clear student led element.
