About this event

Health • Mental health

Join the Lifeboat team for a closer look at how pregnancy and parenthood can influence our self esteem and mental health. Discover what can decrease our self esteem and what we can all do to improve it. Find out the importance of self compassion as a tool to improve self esteem - it takes practice but is so worth it! Whether you join us for your own benefit or are supporting a parent who has low self esteem, come and share your thoughts, experiences and ideas.

Perinatal mental health difficulties can really affect the way we feel about ourselves and how we think others see us. The way we feel about ourself can, in turn, affect our mental health. Talking about our self esteem can be really difficult but can also be the first step in addressing often longstanding issues. What do you do to maintain good self esteem? We would love to hear from you. So come and join us on Wed 11th June at 12:30pm BST.
