About this event

These untaught sessions offer access to our fully equipped pottery studio for those with some knowledge – for example those who are taking our six-week Introduction to Pottery course, or have attended a throwing taster session.

Potters can use our full range of facilities, including the wheels. Tutor Ruth Waller is on hand throughout the session to assist with any technical queries you might have, however please note that this is not a taught class.

We require potters to use our clay and glazes.

Our session fee is £7. Clay and firing incur an extra charge.

Clay is charged at £5 for a small, 3kg bag.

We charge one fee for glazing and firing, which is charged by object size.

6” cubed – £4.

9” cubed – £6.

12” cubed – £10.

The Harley Pottery Studio

The Harley Foundation is an arts charity which works to create spaces where the imagination can flourish, from artists studios to an award-winning museum.

We run The Harley Pottery Studio, a community space where visitors can work in inspiring surroundings – in an idyllic countryside location and surrounded by practicing artists and makers.

All of our classes are subsidised by the Foundation and generously supported by Nottinghamshire County Council. We work to offer an accessible, affordable place to practice pottery making.
