About this event

Do you want to increase your knowledge and feel more confident in the subject of self-harm?

West Sussex Mind will be delivering a series of FREE self-harm webinars for professionals and volunteers in East and West Sussex and Brighton and Hove, who support children and young people who self-harm. These webinars are continuing from the previous self-harm learning networks

The webinar will cover:

  • The basics of self-harm knowledge
  • What it means and who it affects
  • The impact for workers
  • Strategies, resources and signposting

Empowering Professionals and Volunteers to Support Young People Who Self-Harm.

Whether you're a professional, or volunteer who supports a young person who self-harm, this one-hour webinar is perfect for you. The aim of the webinar is to increase your confidence and reduce fear when it comes to the topic of self-harm, especially when working with children, young adults, and individuals. We'll cover the basics of self-harm, what it means, and who it affects. We'll also provide valuable strategies, resources, and signposts to support those who self-harm and the people around them.

The session will start on time to allow us to cover all the content intended. We request that you log in 5 minutes before the start time to allow time for your IT to connect fully. We regret we cannot allow entry more than 3 minutes after the advertised start time as the first few minutes contain important information about the nature of the content and keeping ourselves safe. Should you be delayed arriving, we would really welcome you instead joining one of the later planned sessions so you do not miss out on the opportunity.

These sessions are on ZOOM and are not recorded
