Event description

Description

This one day workshop is an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings about youth self harm. It is an introductory day that will sekk to both raise awareness and ask questions to deepen our knowledge of self-harm;s increasing role and function in children and young people's worlds.

The focus of the day will be on self-injury and some attention will also be given to suicidal ideation and suicide attemps by children and young people. Whether you are a professional, a friend or a parent/carer of someone who self-harms, such presentations evoke understandable strong emotional responses within us all.

Jude Sellen-Cole has been using TA models to help support her working relationships with children who self-harm and in supervision of staff in Children's homes, Foster Carers, youth and probabtion service settings, social workers for many years.
