About this event

Health • Mental health

Self-help books are some of the most popular and most borrowed books of all genres. People love to read about how they can improve their health, their attitudes and their lives in general. So many people read self-improvement books, but how many actually attempt to put some of what they've read into practice?

This reading group aims to do just that - help you help yourself by discussing ways in which theory can be put into practice.

In September we will be discussing Discipline Is Destiny by Ryan Holiday.

In this bestselling book, Ryan Holiday makes the case for this essential virtue - self-control, and shows how to cultivate willpower, self-respect and focus.

Ryan Holiday is one of the world's bestselling living philosophers. His books like The Obstacle Is the Way, Ego Is the Enemy, The Daily Stoic, and the #1 New York Times bestseller Stillness Is the Key appear in more than 40 languages and have sold more than 5 million copies.
