Share & Learn Event

Tuesday 23rd October 2018, 9.30am (Registration) to 2.30pm

AJ Bell Stadium, 1 Stadium Way, Barton-upon-Irwell, Salford M30 7EY (sat nav M30 7LJ)

Warfarin is a well-established medication for people who have Atrial Fibrillation or VTE. Self-testing and self-management for patients prescribed warfarin, using consumer focussed devices, is a cost effective and evidence based way for anti-coagulation services to monitor these patients. Technology is now established where patients using these devices can interact digitally through Apps and web interfaces with the clinics, which can be convenient for patients and health care professionals.

An event which brings together regional, national, patients and other keys stakeholders to share experience and good practice in the introduction of self-testing and self-management as part of anti-coagulation management.

To bring together learning from self-testing and self-managing stakeholders to share what’s working and current challenges

  • To bring together learning from self-testing and self-managing stakeholders to share what’s working and current challenges

  • To consider ways which will aid future information exchanges on ongoing progress being made with self-testing initiatives

  • To discuss what might be required to spread these innovations for patient benefit.
