Course Description:

This short course is part of our multi-agency training programme aimed at any staff, volunteers and carers working with or supporting young people. Due to the current situation this training will be delivered online via MS Teams.

Training is FREE to all those working in Nottingham City and Southern Boroughs (Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe).

Training aims:

This course aims to raise participants awareness of sexting and shared sexual images enabling them to work with young people to consider the potential consequences.

The course outlines the following:

• The legal framework.
• Practical strategies to engage young people effectively and ensure their ongoing safety.
• National guidance and how to deal with a disclosure.
• The sexualisation of young people and the impact upon self-esteem linking to poor mental health and risky sexual behaviour.
