Event description
Part of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society Inspiring People talks programme. Selina Hales talks about the Glasgow charity Refuweegee.

About this Event

Established in 2015, Refuweegee had one simple aim: to ensure a warm Glas-weegie welcome to those who had fled their homes to seek safety in ours. Since then, Refuweegee has gone on to distribute over 4,000 welcome packs, each one containing a personal letter from someone in Scotland. From stories of Syrians in kilts to exhibiting refugee photographs, hear from the Founder and Director of this inspiring wee charity.

Tickets are on sale here or on the door; RSGS Members and students are entitled to free entry on the door - all subject to availability.
