Bidding for public sector contracts can seem difficult, especially if you don’t understand the rules which public organisations have to follow and are not familiar with the paperwork, but don’t let this put you off!
This half-day workshop is designed to give you lots of useful information and advice, so that you can sell successfully to customers in the public sector and win a share of a market which – despite tightening budgets – is still worth millions of pounds.
We’ll start with an update on changes to the rules which public buyers must follow, which came into effect last year. Then we’ll look at how to find out about contract opportunities.
After a break, a speaker responsible for purchasing at East Yorkshire Council will talk about what they are looking for from their suppliers and give lots of practical advice on how to prepare or improve your bids.
Delegates will leave with a better understanding of the rules which public sector purchasers must follow, hear lots of hints and tips and learn about all the support available. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, as well as to chat over coffee with those actually doing the buying.
Registration and refreshments will be available from 9.00am, we aim to begin at 9.30am, with a Q&A session before we close at 12.45pm.
