Seminar 3: How to Successfully Pitch Your Idea?
Key Learning: Participants will learn how to communicate their idea(s) in a concise, compelling and convincing way to potential investors and stakeholders.
Summary: “If you can’t tell it, you can’t sell it!”
In recent years, governments, universities and - most importantly - investors have recognised the urgent need, and benefit, of supporting entrepreneurs. Although this support takes a collaborative effort to help entrepreneurs realise their dreams, it is clear that investors play a crucial and pivotal role.
Consequently, it will understandably be an extremely unnerving task when entrepreneurs are finally offered the opportunity to present their ideas in front of potential investors or venture capitalists. Why so intimidating? Because all entrepreneurs, deep down, understand that this is likely a “do or die” moment and what - and especially how - their entrepreneurial concept is presented will decide its fate.
Most entrepreneurs have very detailed knowledge about their idea and many have even learned how to write detailed business plans. Yet, far too often, high potential concepts are stillborn simply because entrepreneurs are not provided with the strategies to “sell” their idea, be it to potential investors or the public.
The purpose of this lecture is to equip entrepreneurs with the essential strategies to clearly, concisely and compellingly “pitch” their ideas. Based on his highly-acclaimed “Connect & Convince” strategies taught at MBA Entrepreneur programmes in Europe and Asia, Gerry T. Kierans will share, in an engaging manner, the fundamental strategies required to successfully pitch innovative and oftentimes highly-complex concept.
Who Should Attend?
It does not matter if you have just begun thinking of starting your first venture or if you are a seasoned, serial entrepreneur, this seminar will benefit you as attracting funding is an essential step in making your entrepreneurial dream come true.
