Seminar:  5 Takeaways on Brexit - Outlining Possible Scenarios for a New UK-EU Relationship and their Impact on Citizens

Tues 28 March 2017, 10.30am - 13.30pm, Belfast

This event is a part of the project Brexit Takeaways, which aims to provide citizens with evidence-based information on how the final deal reached between the EU and the UK might impact their rights, in order to allow them to back the best deal when negotiations start and assert their rights once an agreement is reached.

It will be of interest to citizens, academics, citizens’ information and advice organisations, human rights organisations, migrants’ rights organisations, and also business groups.

The programme comprises short presentations, followed by discussions and questions to the panel of speakers.

  • 5 Takeaways on Brexit: Outlining Possible Scenarios for a New UK-EU Relationship and their Impact on Citizens - European Citizen Action Service (ECAS)

  • Special Considerations for Ireland / Northern Ireland - Anthony Soares, Centre for Cross Border Studies (CCBS)

  • Implications of Brexit on Human Rights - Daniel Holder, Committee on the Administration of Justice (CAJ)

  • Potential Effects of Brexit on Citizens’ Rights and Free Movement - Siobhan Duffy, Your Europe Advice

Places are strictly limited and will be issued on a first-come basis.

Further details will be available soon on www.borderpeople.info

This seminar is one of a series of events are being organised in London, Northern Ireland, Gibraltar and Belgium, from February to June 2017, to disseminate and discuss the findings of the study on which this project is based. The partners acknowledge the financial support of the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.
