Event Details

This seminar is being organised in response to the major social issue of holiday hunger and its links to children’s wellbeing, learning and attainment.

 The seminar will look at:

  • The link between food and attainment in children
  • The importance of school meals in the context of education, inclusion, health and wellbeing
  • Tackling holiday hunger through a multi-agency approach

Our Keynote speaker will be Professor Margaret Defeyter, Director of Healthy Living at the University of Northumbria.  She will share new evidence around ‘holiday hunger’ and ‘holiday learning loss’, and successful interventions to tackle these issues.
