Stan Harris OBE & Bernhard Schmeilzl
Stan is the Managing Partner of Lyndales and understands from first-hand experience how difficult it is to run a business with all the financial, regulatory, marketing and servicing requirements that a business demands as well as looking after that most difficult of components, the people element. With more than 30 years experience of dealing with clients at a personal level it is not surprising that Stan retains his interest in private client work that he has overall management of. Not only overseeing administrations of Estates and meeting clients for those crucial meetings where a mixture of professionalism and empathy are essential, there is also the increasing need to be aware of the international rules that present themselves as a result of many families’ international links. Stan was therefore delighted when Bernhard Schmeilzl and his firm, Graf and Partners, started working with Lyndales and increasingly the two firms are aiming to provide a seamless service for those clients with Anglo German legal problems when it comes to private client work.
Stan understands that providing the best advice and support requires getting under the skin of commercial clients in order to understand the client and their business requirements.Stan’s dedication to his clients who have followed him through the years means he still advises them on wills and probate matters.
A particular strength is Stan’s interest in people and his willingness to find effective solutions rather than legal obstacles. Optimistic and positive, Stan has that rare blend of professionalism and first class communication skills. Going the extra mile is a well-used description but with Stan, he really means it and puts it into practice.
Awarded with an OBE in 2007 for services to acclaimed East London charity, Community Links (www.community-links.org), Stan retains his interest in social enterprises and is a director of Shift Design.
