Seminar: Practice with theory for reinforced concrete structures

Ian Gilbert has over 40 years experience in structural design and is a specialist in the analysis and design of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.

Ian has been active in the development of the current Australian Concrete Code AS 3600-2009 and is primarily responsible for the development of the serviceability provisions in that Standard, including the clauses related to deflection and crack control. 

John Woodside has been a practicing Engineer for nearly fifty years, graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Masters Degree in 1967. John has worked throughout Australia and as well as in the United Kingdom and Kuwait. From 1976 until his retirement in 2000 John worked for John Connell and Associates, then Connell Wagner (now Aurecon), ultimately as Principal of the South Australian office.
