Seminar - The Power of Positive Parenting

About this event

Triple P Seminars -

Most of the time, parenting is great fun. You know you are doing a good job. But there are times when things get a little tricky.

Like when your toddler won’t eat her dinner. Or your six year old won’t pick up his toys. Maybe your child never seems to listen. If only someone could give you some ideas to make those times easier!

If this sounds like you, then Triple P Seminars may suit. Seminars are 90 minute talks to large groups on a number of different topics. We hope you will find it interesting and take away some ideas.

0-12 - Positive Parenting This seminar introduces parents to the five key principles of positive parenting that form the basis of Triple P. These principles are:

• Ensuring a safe engaging environment.

• Creating a positive learning environment.

• Using assertive discipline.

• Having reasonable expectations

• Looking after yourself as a parent

We will be delivering the session via Zoom – please ensure that you have downloaded the app and joining instructions will be given once you have booked in.

All our courses are available to parents who live in Sheffield only. Please contact your local authority early help team as they may offer something similar. Any bookings made by parents not in Sheffield will be cancelled .

Organiser of Seminar - The Power of Positive Parenting

Sheffield City Council’s Parenting Specialists provide group based and one to one parenting support for parents and carers of children, from babies to teenagers.

We deliver programmes that are evidence based, and tried and tested. This means that the content is written by professional psychologists who have years of research into what works to manage behaviours and difficulties that we can all face as parents. These programmes are delivered across the world and have over 30 years of research behind them.

Everyone has busy lives and we are all different. There are different types of groups you can access depending on your needs and the time you have to spare. To find out what’s on and when in your area see our Sheffield Parenting What’s on Guide on the below website. Details will also be posted on our Sheffield Family Centres Facebook page.
