Free online session for parents and carers in Suffolk explaining SEN support in schools for pupils with specific learning difficulties
About this event
Suffolk SENDIASS is offering an informal online session for parents and carers in Suffolk, explaining the process of SEN support in schools for pupils with specific learning difficulties. The session will be supported by the lead teacher for Suffolk's specialist education service for pupils with specific learning difficulties.
The session will explore:
The key principles of SEN support and whole class and whole school approaches;
The 4 stages of the cycle of SEN support and how you and your child are involved;
Examples of support schools can reasonably offer;
What happens if your child needs more support;
Ideas for helping your child at home.
You don't have to use your video or talk in the session, if you don't want to. You can just listen or post your questions in chat.
We will be keeping the group number fairly small so that we can address as many of your questions as possible.
