Absolutely! Our 'Back to Basics' series is perfect for SENCos who are just starting out on their journey, aspiring SENCos, or for experienced SENCos who are wanting to refresh their practice.

Who are Spiky Profile?

Spiky Profile are a small but mighty team of education and inclusion professionals. We built Spiky to step in when the system fails. Be it staffing, training, consultancy, intervention, or something else. We provide what you need: we meet your needs, so you can meet theirs.

Who is leading the session?

This particular session will be led by Ben Allchin, Director, as well our SEN Consultants. Ben's got years of experience of statutory SEN processes and funding, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to take away practical tips and real life examples.

Will there be refreshments?

There'll be no soggy digestives or stale custard creams here. We know how hard you all work so we're bringing the big pre-teatime treats... think pizzas, wings, nachos. Oh yes. There'll also be soft drinks available, and a bar onsite if you want to order anything else. Let us know any dietary needs.

Why do all your sessions seem to be in North Leeds?

Loads of SENCos seem to live in North Leeds! It made sense to hold events here, at the end of the working day, so many people can build it into their commute. We know it's not ideal for some people, but with good transport and road links North Leeds is reasonably accessible for most.

Can I attend online?

Not for this session, I'm afraid, because we're trying to build our local community of SENCos in Leeds in person. However, if you're interested in our online sessions, please email hello@spikyprofile.co.uk and we'll make sure you know what's coming up soon.

Can you please consider my reasonable adjustments?

Of course! If you need us to consider any reasonable adjustments to boost your experience with us, let us know as far in advance as possible and we will do our best to accommodate them (e.g. photos of the venue, sending the slides in advance, a pre-chat, etc.)
