SEND Advice Session: Dealing with School Avoidance (Richmond families only)
Overview
Join us at our SEND Session —a friendly, in-person gathering for Richmond parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This session will be run by SEND Advisor Richard Wilding and will be on the subject 'Dealing with School Avoidance' and will be suitable for parents/carers of children and young people with/without known special educational needs/disabilities.
Richard will talk through how to work with the school, Alternatives (or supplements) to school or college and Watchouts
About SEND Sessions
Hosted at the Ruils offices, our SEND Sessions are friendly, in-person gatherings for Richmond parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Each session will feature a short presentation from one of our experienced SEND Advisors on a key topic, followed by open discussion, Q&A, and time to connect with other parents. A welcoming space to learn, share, and feel supported. If you need an appointment to discuss your case in more detail, you will be able to arrange that after the session.
Other subjects will include; Complaints and Redress, Revising a draft EHCP, Transition to Secondary, Preparing for Adulthood and What to do if you are not receiving the Provision specified in an EHCP
