Join us at our SEND Session —a friendly, in-person gathering for Richmond parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This session will be run by SEND Advisor Yolanda Bryant and will be on the subject 'EHCP Annual Reviews'
Yolanda will take you through the annual review procedure and look at how to effectively participate in the annual review if your child’s needs are not being met. It will consider how best to prepare for the annual review meeting, who to invite to the annual review meeting, how to ensure that your concerns are considered by the local authority and what to do if you are unhappy with the outcome.
About SEND Sessions
Hosted at the Ruils offices, our SEND Sessions are friendly, in-person gatherings for parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Each session will feature a short presentation from one of our experienced SEND Advisors on a key topic, followed by open discussion, Q&A, and time to connect with other parents. A welcoming space to learn, share, and feel supported. If you need an appointment to discuss your case in more detail, you will be able to arrange that after the session.
Other subjects will include; Complaints and Redress, Revising a draft EHCP, Transition to Secondary, Preparing for Adulthood and What to do if you are not receiving the Provision specified in an EHCP
