SEND Cycling (For children age 4-8 years)
This FREE session will take place in a secure outdoor space, such as a playground or netball court.
This session is specially designed for young people with SEND who want to learn to ride a two-wheel bike or try out an adapted cycle. We have a variety of bikes available, including two-wheelers, trikes, and handcycles, to suit different needs and abilities.
Duration: 60 minutes
What to bring:
We’ll provide bikes and helmets, however if your child has their own, please let us know and bring them along to the session. We aim to have each child riding their own bike by the end of the session.
If you’re bringing a bike, make sure it’s in good working condition.
What we need from you: To help us plan the best experience for each participant, please share as much information as possible when booking including:
· Your child’s age and height
· Details about their disability or additional needs
· Whether they’re interested in trying a 2-wheel or 3-wheel bike
While we’ll encourage all participants who are physically able to give a 2-wheeler a go, we understand this may not be suitable for everyone — and that’s absolutely okay.
Parking is available at The Beane Valley Family Centre, Clappers Lane, SG14 3QA
Don’t forget! To take part, you’ll need to be registered with the Family Centre Service. You can sign up here:
