NITE's free professional development series offers short, impactful sessions led by experienced educators to support the professional growth of teachers and school leaders.

Join us for a webinar exploring how to drive a whole-school approach to inclusion led by Sonia Mathias, Associate Lecturer on NITE’s MA in Education. Designed for current and aspiring middle leaders, this session focuses on embedding SEND into everyday practice and making a significant difference to the lives of children and young people with SEND.

During the session you will explore strategies to empower all staff to take ownership of inclusion and create a culture where every learner is supported, valued, and able to thrive. You will learn how to be an advocate for inclusive practices within the classroom and across the wider community. We will cover ways to encourage colleagues to share and celebrate best practice including structured steps to improve inclusion at both classroom and whole-school level.

By the end of the session, you will have learnt how to confidently embed SEND into everyday teaching and leadership practice. You will be aware of approaches for influencing and inspiring others to adopt inclusive strategies and practical steps to drive sustainable change that positively impacts learners with SEND.

It is suitable for:

Teachers with 1-3 years’ experience - aspiring middle leaders - middle leaders

Facilitator: Sonia Mathias

She joined NITE to write and deliver the SEND Module for the MA in Education and is University Lead Mentor for PGCE trainees both internationally and in the UK with a focus on SEND.
