This is a workshop for Buckinghamshire parents and carers of children and young people with SEND. It covers Education, Health and Care needs assessments and outcomes. The aim is to equip you with information and skills so that the assessment process is as worthwhile as possible. It is suitable for parents and carers whose children are already being assessed, or are expected to be assessed, including those going through a Transfer Review from a Statement of SEN.
It has been developed by Olga Hamer, an expert trainer, ASD specialist and member of FACT Bucks, and is provided by Bucks SENDIAS in partnership with FACT Bucks.
The training features activities, visual aids and opportunities for discussion.
This event is aimed at Buckinghamshire parents and carers who have not attended this type of workshop before. Please note that priority will be given to those who have not previously attended. If you have already attended this workshop please contact us to discuss your on-going training needs.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
High Wycombe library is situated in the Eden Shopping Centre.
The High Wycombe Park and Ride facility runs every 15 minutes from 7am to 8.15pm Mondays to Fridays. For more information visit www.wycombeparkandride.com
Car Parking Eden has over 1600 parking spaces with direct access into the centre. Parking is pay on exit.

Please note that Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) working in partnership with Wycombe District Council and BTVLEP are due to commence works on the Alternative Route as part of the Town Centre Master Plan for High Wycombe from 19th September 2016. High Wycombe train station is only a few minutes walk away from Eden and is served by Chiltern Railways with trains from London Marylebone to Birmingham. Once you arrive at High Wycombe you turn left out of the station and follow the pedestrian signs down the hill and turn right onto the high Street. Eden’s entrance is just past the historic Guild Hall.

The bus station for High Wycombe is located within Eden with routes are run by Carousel Buses, Arriva, Redline, Red Rose and First.
Major bus routes operate to and from:
Aylesbury, Thame, Reading, Uxbridge, Amersham, Chesham, Heathrow, Gerrards Cross, Slough, Maidenhead and Beaconsfield, alongside all local routes.
