This session will be run by SEND Advisor Alex Hardy and will be on the subject 'Applying for a EHC Needs Assessment'
Alex will talk you through which forms you should use, what evidence you might need, who can apply, what the Law says, timelines, and what to do if your request is refused’
About SEND Sessions
Hosted at the Ruils offices, our SEND Sessions are friendly, in-person gatherings for parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Each session will feature a short presentation from one of our experienced SEND Advisors on a key topic, followed by open discussion, Q&A, and time to connect with other parents. A welcoming space to learn, share, and feel supported. If you need an appointment to discuss your case in more detail, you will be able to arrange that after the session.
Other subjects will include; Complaints and Redress, Revising a draft EHCP, Transition to Secondary, Preparing for Adulthood and What to do if you are not receiving the Provision specified in an EHCP
