About this event

The purpose of the surgery is to provide support and advice to practitioners on the front line of planning and implementing SEND provision in their school or setting. This support may include referrals to other agencies or to the cluster. You will be sent a referral form in advance of the surgery, which should be completed succinctly but should set out the main concerns surrounding the referral and issues affecting current provision/impact. This enables our specialist leaders and practitioners to prepare for the surgery and make certain that advice and support is carefully tailored to the needs you have identified

Organised by

The work of the SPC across mainstream schools supports leaders in developing/reviewing a curriculum that is ambitious for SEND pupils, with strategic and practical ideas to ensure it is coherently planned and sequenced. We support teachers to successfully adapt the curriculum in order to meet the needs of pupils with SEND, developing their knowledge, skills and abilities to apply what they have learned with increasing fluency and independence. Our evidence-based model will help develop a personalised approach that is designed to help learners to remember long term the content they have been taught. Pupils with SEND can then achieve the best possible outcomes.
