Due to the volume of non-attendance and the high demand for places on this course the chargeable, however £10 will be refunded upon successful completion of ALL OF THE RELEVANT DATES BELOW WITHOUT EXCEPTION.

A course for SENCOs and Managers in Early Years and OOS Settings
Session 1 - Aims of the Course:
You will have a better understanding of:
• The principles underpinning the Code of Practice (2015) and the responsibilities of your setting to implement the Code of Practice.
• The role of the SENCo
• How to share concerns with parents/carers
- What help and resources are available to you to enable you to support children with SEND
Session 2 – Aims of the course (for Early Years only)
You will have a better understanding of:
- The graduated approach and the ASSESS, PLAN , DO, REVIEW cycle
- How to make referrals to other services
- How to support a child’s transition to school
All SENCOs from settings delivering government funded early years education are required to attend this training.
