The Senior Open Championship Presented by Rolex will return to Carnoustie Golf Links for the first time since 2010 when the famous Scottish course plays host to the Senior Major from July 21-24, 2016.
It will be the first time the Championship is held in Scotland since Turnberry in 2012, when Fred Couples claimed a two shot victory. Carnoustie's hosting will also mark the 30th edition of The Senior Open Championship.
Carnoustie has hosted The Open Championship on seven occasions, most recently in 2007 when Ireland’s Padraig Harrington claimed his first Claret Jug after defeating Spain’s Sergio Garcia in a play-off.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
For those using Sat Nav the postcode for Carnoustie Golf Links is DD7 7JE. There will be a FREE public park and ride service available. A separate Park and Ride map will be made available in due course. AA Road Signage and event specific signage will be visible as you approach the venue.
The nearest airport is Edinburgh, which is approximately 70 kilometres away
Carnoustie Train Station is located in the centre of Carnoustie with a short walk to the Golf Course. Please follow event signage to the course.
There will be bicycle facilities on site, but locks will not be provided and bikes will be left at their owner’s risk.
There will be designated parking for Blue Badge Holders on site. More details to follow.

Event Mobility provides electric scooters and manual wheelchairs at events nationwide for use by the disabled, elderly and mobility impaired. The Event Mobility Trailer & Tent will be located at the entrance gate. The electric scooters and manual wheelchairs are free to hire, however, a donation to the Event Mobility Charity is expected to be made.

The use of mobile phones is permitted but restricted to dedicated areas only, where event signage will refer to them as “mobile phone zones”. Only in these dedicated areas can calls be made or received, however
phones must remain on silent at all times.
The use of any cameras, computers and other electronic equipment at the Tournament Thursday to Sunday is not permitted other than with the proper accreditation.Cameras are allowed during the Pro Ams on Wednesday.
Making or distributing broadcasts, commentary, news reports, data, results or statistics by any means
in any format or media including any such by mobile phone or other wireless device is not permitted.
Ticket holders consent to being photographed, filmed and recorded at the Tournament (including by
CCTV), and consent to use of any such film, image or recording at the discretion of the promoter and/
or European Tour and their licensees and partners without compensation or notice.
No dogs (other than guide dogs) or other animals are permitted on the course.
All promotional, commercial, political, religious or offensive items of whatever nature including, but
not limited to, clothing, banners, signs, symbols and leaflets are prohibited.
The ticket holder must comply with all relevant statutes, signs, safety announcements, directions of
stewards and ground regulations whilst attending the Tournament. Breach of any of these conditions
or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall enable the venue or
event management to revoke this ticket and to eject the holder without compensation.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Tickets are non transferable. Any transfer of this ticket will render it void.
The ticket remains the property of the Tournament at all times.
Can I update my registration information?
You can update registration prior to arrivable at venue
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Printed tickets must be brought to the venue. Lost, stolen or damaged tickets cannot be replaced
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non refundable including in the event of curtailment or cancellation through adverse weather.
