Sensitive: the untold story
Fri 14 October 2016, 11:00 – 12:30 BST
Twenty per cent of humans are highly sensitive. That's around 1.4 billion people in the world who have this inborn trait. It is also found in over 100 other species.
If you have this trait then you are more likely to reflect deeply on experience and feel strong empathy for others. It may impact on your work and social life through anxiety and depression as well as feelings of being overwhelmed.
A few pioneering scientists are now studying Highly Sensitive People to try and understand what can be done to help those who are highly sensitive.
Join us to hear more about this way of being through a showing of the film Sensitive: the untold story.
There will be a follow up workshop called the Highly Sensitive Persons Survival Guide. Dates to be arranged.
This event is free to anyone who lives on the IOW and is not in full time employment.
