About this event

In person autism intervention training taking place at County Hall, Glenfield - LE3 8RA

Please note this is open training for LCC maintained schools.

Sensory Circuits:

This Sensory Intervention training provides staff with a comprehensive understanding of sensory needs and why these may be more noticeable in autistic children and young people. Staff will learn how to assess and recognise behaviours that may be the result of a sensory need and explore strategies to respond to and fulfil these needs effectively. In particular the setting up, running and delivery of Sensory Circuits will be explored. As well as learning approaches to managing pupils’ sensory needs, staff will learn how to support pupils to understand and manage their own sensory sensitivities. This training is suitable for anyone supporting autistic pupils with sensory needs from Foundation stage through to year 12.
