Where is the film being shown?

The film is being shown in the sports hall at Grange Leisure Centre.

What are the timings?

Doors will open at 1:30pm and the film will start promptly at 2pm.

Will food and drink be available?

Absolutely, we have a brilliant range of treats and drinks available at very reasonable prices ranging from popcorn, sweets, crisps & soft drinks.

Is there anything else on offer?

We will have a fidget stall, with a large stock of different fidgets and items to purchase at pocket money prices.

What happens when I arrive?

You will be welcomed by one of the The Roxi Foundation Team, quick scan of your tickets and we will hand you your headsets.  Grab some treats from the tuck shop. Next go and explore the sensory room, find a place in the hall to sit for the movie, relax and enjoy.

What can I expect during the showing?

Feel free to move around, use the sensory room whenever you want, make noise, laugh, talk, grab some more snacks from the tuck shop, whatever suits. This is an event of no judgement, no shhh'ing and purely about inclusion. The headsets will mean you won't be bothering anyone else or be bothered!

What happens at the end?

Grab your belongs, visit the tuck shop and fidget stall if you want before you go. Return your headset to The Roxi Foundation team as you leave and enjoy the rest of your day.

⁠Is it a safe environment?

All the hosts are DBS checked and we have planned the event down to the last detail to make sure it's an inclusive, safe event. There will be a first aider are on hand if needed.

Question 9

What is the sensory room?

Accepted Answer

A calm design with lounging chairs  weighted blankets in a dimly light, separate room. There will be galaxy lights, colour changing eggs and fidgets to use whilst in the room to help you regulate, but we do ask you to leave them for the next person when you return to the movie.

Question 10

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

We'll bring the movie, snacks and fidgets. You bring something comfy to sit on! That can be a chair, blanket, pillow, whatever you want. There are limited seats at the venue, the design of the event is casual and to encourage freedom of movement.
