Over the years the areas in the human body where a SLNB procedure could be carried out has increased, however the basic physics of how the process works, from injection to surgery, and the knowledge people need with regards to storing samples and waste, is just the same wherever the biopsy originated from.

This training is designed to give you all information you need whether this is the first time you've undergone any SLNB training, or you've been working in the field and need to refresh your knowledge.

We'll cover: The physics of how the process works, allowing us to detect the node in Theatres, the Radiation Legislation that applies, the doses people could receive, the radiation protection methods we can employ, how to store samples and waste, and what we need to know with regards to shipping radioactive samples and disposal of radioactive waste, as well as the importance of quality control checks on the gamma probes used.

This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. An email with the instructions for how to access the online content will be sent 24-48 before the course start time. You must have a webcam and microphone to enable appropriate participation and for your attendance to be verified.
