Description

BGBS

In this half-day workshop we'll look at how search engine optimisation can help your organisation's website performs well in the search engine results pages. We'll look at the fundamentals of SEO and define what steps you can take to improve your search engine rankings.

While SEO can feel daunting it's all about how potential service users find you, how donors decide which charity to give to, how people find out more about the issues you're campaigning on - it's about people. This workshop will make SEO feel human and give you the practical skills you need to ensure you charity, community group, housing association or social enterprise performs well in online searches.

In this workshop we'll cover:

1. Distinguishing between different types of SEO

2. Easy SEO wins

3. META tags and their use

4. The importance of linking internally and externally

5. The effect of website performance and mobile optimisation on SEO

Please bring a laptop (preferred) or other wi-fi enabled device to take part in the hands-on sessions. If you cannot access one please let us know in advance and we will allocate you a device (we have limited number of devices).

As with all of our workshops these sessions are aimed at charity, community group, social enterprise, housing association and public sector staff and volunteers.

Refreshments throughout the half-day are included in the ticket price.

To pay offline using cheque or invoice simply select your payment method at checkout OR email lindsey@thirdsectorlab.co.uk and we will quickly book a place on your behalf.
