Event description

Inheritance Tax rules are complex, so mistakes are easy to make.

You may want to give your house to your children now to save paying inheritance tax. By doing what you think is right, with the best intentions, you may be falling foul of the IHT rules.

Join us at The Retirement Café and ask your questions directly to Chartered Tax Adviser, Kurt Lee and Chartered Financial Planner, Justin King, to feel more informed about steps you can take to reduce your inheritance tax bill.

The Retirement Café - Inheritance Tax made simple

The Retirement Café gives you an opportunity to learn more about issues and challenges that may affect your retirement, over coffee and cake.

This two-hour event will cover the following important areas:

  • How to pass on £1m free from Inheritance Tax

  • The rules for giving your house to your children in your lifetime

  • Practical steps for passing on your wealth tax-efficiently

  • How to reduce the value of your estate to avoid paying care costs

  • Strategies you can implement now to avoid inheritance tax on death

There will be an opportunity to ask your questions directly to the panel and to talk to them individually afterwards. You are welcome to attend the seminar with family members.

Information shared is for guidance only. You will definitely not be sold to at the Retirement Café. In fact, you cannot buy anything – not even the coffee! The coffee and cake are on us and so is the chat.
