Important Information before you arrive to enrol:Location
3rd - 10th September: Please arrive at Brecon, Rooms B211 for check in.
18th September onwards please check into the USW Conference Centre, main hall.
- Set up your IT account.
Before you enrol at USW you need to create your student IT account. You will have recieved an email from USWaccount@southwales.ac.uk inviting you to set up your IT account.
Please contact IT Services via phone (+44(0) 1443 482882) if you require help with resetting your password or MFA setup. For further guidance on managing your IT account, please visit IT Account Access and Amendments | University of South Wales.
You will need to have your phone with you whenever you access your IT account, including throughout the enrolment process. Failure to set up your IT account through an authenticator app may lead to delays during enrolment.
- Complete specific enrolment checks
If you have received (or expect to receive) a digital status, once you have arrived in the UK you will need to upload the information/PDF to CAS Sheild. If you have a physical BRP, you must upload your documents to CAS Shield.
Documents required to enrol, include your physical BRP (if you have one) or a share code related to your eVisa, and a stamped vignette (visa sticker) from your passport showing when you entered the UK along with your boarding pass.
You will need to show physical copies of these documents when you arrive to enrol, failure to bring these documents will mean that you cannot complete enrolment. Photocopies of passports will not be accepted.
we anticipate that enrolment for some students could take over an hour to complete.
Please check in advance the local weather conditions and wear appropriate clothing or gear (e.g. waterproofs, warm socks, umbrellas etc.).

Ensure all required documentation is authentic and complete.

Queue patiently and avoid causing disruptions.
Respect personal space and privacy of staff and other students.
Frequently asked questions
Unfortunately if you miss your appointment you will be required to book an alternative slot. Students who miss multiple appointments will be questioned on arrival.
Unless your circumstances have changed (i.e. change in passport/ immigration status) there is no requirement to book an appointment. These appoints are for new international students.
There is no requirement to book more than one appointment. If we notice you have booked more than one appointment we will cancel appointments, as these should be made available for other students attempting to enrol.
Unfortunately there is not enough space to accommodate friends and family. Only in exceptional circumstance do we allow support from family members or friends (i.e. pregnant women). Family/Friends can wait for you to complete enrolment in Stilts or the Student Union.
