A fresh approach to fundraising strategy

These 5 training modules are an opportunity for charities to develop strategies and apply them to their own live situations in a collaborative and interactive way. The training offers charities ideas on new ways to fundraise, new ways of reaching your target audiences, and new ways of thinking to help your organisation realise it's untapped potential.

This is a series of workshop and participants will benefit from one half day every two weeks. We expect individuals to attend all five workshops. This workshop series is aimed at London based charities with an annual income over £500,000.

This series will cover:

The 5 Whys: 16 January 9am - 12pm:
Introduction to strategic thinking and creative ways to problem solve.

The Creative Brief: 30 January 9am - 12pm
Why and how to write one.

Social Media in Campaigns: 13 February 9am - 12pm
How can you make it work for your charity?

FAC Concept: 27 February 9am - 12pm
Fundraising – Advocacy– Communications in one concept. Aligning your resources to have better access to funding and greater visibility.

Effectiveness: 13 March 9am - 12pm
How to measure your success and demonstrate effectiveness.

Trainer Bio:

Sword & Stone is a creative strategy agency operating out of London. Our founding belief is that strategy is better when it’s creative because only new ways of thinking have the power to realise untapped potential.
They are able to create strategies for charities that solve problems and seize opportunities using the most effective means. With backgrounds in campaigning, communications, fundraising, advertising and brand design, they are often an unrivalled strategic partner.

We ask that all attendees arrive 15 minutes before the workshop starts to allow for registration and ensure a timely start and the smooth running of the workshop. Refreshments will be provided, however lunch will not be provided.

You must be a member of Small Charities Coalition in order to attend this workshop. If you aren't already you can register for free here.

We want to make sure all of our workshops meet your needs, so if you have any questions about accessibility please email
