James is a vastly experienced tech executive who has led operations at high profile tech platforms including Trainline Plc, where he was General Manager of its UK Consumer division as it underwent a successful £2.1bn IPO in 2019, as well as international marketplaces Amazon and eBay. James also brings experience optimising operations at technology firms including Origin (EA Games) and Betfair.

He has used his big tech experience to support multiple fast-growth businesses, where he has worked as an advisor and investor, focussing his expertise on scaling marketplace models and driving supply and demand. Prior to Shift, James worked at Yourparkingspace as COO; as well as at Nerdapp, the on demand IT support marketplace; Outfts, the fashion marketplace; and several other disruptive tech marketplaces and growth companies.

As Chief Operating Officer of Shift, James plays a fundamental role driving the rapid growth of the company, both organic and through several acquisitions.
