Event description

Description

Dear member of the King's community,

All individuals at King's, students, staff and alumni, are essential to our commitment in the service of society. From Mike Coxhead, a PhD student in Philosophy teaching philosophy in Belmarsh Prison, to our work in Sierra Leone to build a resilient and robust health system, King's is contributing to communities locally, nationally and internationally.

It is my role, in partnership with you, to build a strategy that enables and empowers everyone at King's to do service activity, and for us to advocate that King's has a responsibility to shape and transform local communities and societies across the world.

As part of this, I would like to invite you to take part in the development of the King's Service Strategy in an open fora. This is a key part of creating the service movement of students, staff and alumni from across King's and beyond.

This is an invite and information for the Guy's Campus consultation taking place on the 22nd of February, 12:00-2:00 in Room 2.26, Henriette Raphael Building, Guys Campus. There will be refreshments provided.

There are other open consultations taking place on different campuses, which are:

  • Denmark Hill Campus Consultation: 31st of January, 10am-12pm in the WEC Boardroom, the Weston Education Centre

  • Strand & Waterloo Campuses Consultation: 23rd of February, 10am-12pm in Room 1, Lower Ground Floor, Waterloo Bridge Wing

If you can't attend these, but would like to get involved in service, please email service@kcl.ac.uk and have your say on the strategy as it develops. We will also begin to post activity on the vision hub shortly.
