Event description

Description

Join the Scottish Government, the Digital Office for Scottish Local Government, Dundee City Council and the City of Edinburgh Council at a Service Design taster session in Glasgow on 9th March 2018.

What is Service Design?

The Scottish Government has invested in a Service Design approach for the development of its services and Dundee City Council has started to use this with staff at all levels to rethink the way it delivers services.

Previous workshops have helped people find “a new way of thinking and challenging projects”, and ways to “step back and take a fresh look at how we do things and could improve things”.

The event and who should attend?

Attendees must be from local authorities within the Digital Partnership.

This event will introduce you to the principles of service design and how it might apply to your work. It will explore questions such as;

  • What are the benefits of service design?
  • How do we make sure we are solving the right problem?
  • How do we understand who our service users are, and their needs?
  • What does good service design look like?

We are keen to have a mixture of staff who are involved in hands on transformation activity as well as those who lead or manage teams who carry out this activity (i.e. both decision makers and practitioners).

Come along and find out how you might use Service Design to design services which are efficient, sustainable, and meet user needs.
