Service of reflection to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2
A Service of Reflection and Remembrance to mark the 80th anniversary of the ending of the Second World War will take place in York Minster on Saturday 6 September at 11.00am.
This service (held in conjunction with York City Council and supported by the Royal Bristish Legion) will be attended by civic and political leaders, representatives of other faiths, serving military and veterans together with members of the public.
In addition to hymns, anthems, and prayers, the service will include an Act of Remembrance and Commitment. The Archbishop of York will give the Address and the Ebor Singers will sing for the service.
The service is expected to last an hour. Free, pre-booked tickets are required.
