About this Event

Francine Shapiro is the originator and developer of EMDR therapy, and the inspiration for all of our work. She was also the Executive Director of the EMDR Institute and the Founder and President Emeritus of Trauma Recovery, EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Programs. She was a great friend of the EMDR community in the UK and Ireland

Francine passed on 16th June 2019. She is remembered as a visionary, leader, and a compassionate inspiration. An advocate for feminism and traumatised populations her legacy is celebrated in the therapists she inspired and in the clients treated by EMDR now living productive and meaningful lives. A remarkable woman in life, past, present and future – her legacy continues.

The national committees of EMDR UK and Ireland invite you to join with them at an Interfaith Memorial Service to remember and celebrate the life and work of Francine.
