Description

Westminster Abbey is to mark the 500th Anniversary of Martin Luther's 95 Theses and the beginning of the Reformation with a Special Service on Tuesday 31st October 2017 at 12 Noon.

This will be an ecumenical service attended by UK Church leaders, Presidents from Churches Together in England, Representatives from the Council of Lutheran Churches and the Archbishop of Canterbury, who will give the main Address.

The service will explore Martin Luther's influence, include a note of repentance and also reaffirm an intention for churches to work together towards greater unity and harmony.

To apply for up to six free tickets online, click on REGISTER above. Having done so, on the right of the first screen, click on GENERAL ADMISSION, choose to apply for your tickets giving the information requested, then click on CHECKOUT next screen. A link to your ticket (s) will be sent to the email address that you enter.

Doors will open at 10.30 am and members of the congregation are requested to be seated by 11.45 am.

What is the entrance to use to attend? Enter via the Sanctuary and Great West Door of the Abbey please and you will be directed accordingly.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket(s) to the event? Yes, you will need both your ticket (s) and an official form of photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence.

What is the dress code? For gents, lounge suit or blazer and trousers, for ladies day dress or smart trousers may be worn.

What time do the doors open? 10.30 am.

Can I bring a guest? You can apply for up to six tickets.

How long will the Service last? The service will last up to one hour.
