SOUTH EAST SCOTLAND SCOUT REGION - FAMILY GALA
We’re thrilled to invite you and your young people to be part of the South East Scotland Scout (SESS) Region’s Family Gala 2025, taking place at own Scout activity centre at Bonaly on 6 & 7 September. We promise an amazing day, regardless if you join us on the Saturday or Sunday, for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers — and their families and our amazing volunteers.

To book your tickets:
- Select the date and time that you wish to attend the Family Gala - Saturday 6th or Sunday 7th September 2025
- If you can't see the date or time slot that you want, then click "More Options", select 'Saturday 6th' or 'Sunday 7th' from the calendar and then select the time slot at the bottom of the box.
- Click "Get Tickets"
- Choose the number of children / adult tickets that you require. There are two ticket options for children and adults - with or without bus transfer. If you do not require a bus transfer (i.e. if you are travelling to Bonaly on foot, by bike or on public transport), then scroll down and select the "No Bus Transfer" options.
- Parent/Adult tickets are free. Youth Members / Other children cost £7 each. An adult must accompany anybody aged under 18.
- Select "Check Out"
- Complete the order question, billing information and payment and then "Place Order" Details of the event will be sent to you closer to the event.

Frequently asked questions
Yes - free car parking is available at our Park and Ride site at Redford Barracks, Colinton Road, EH13 0PP with a regular free coach transfer to Bonaly Scout Centre. There is no car parking at or near Bonaly Scout Centre, except by prior arrangement e.g. blue badge holders.
Yes - when placing your order please select the child and adult tickets which specify "No bus transfer"
Yes - there are no direct buses to Bonaly Scout centre, but it is a short walk to a number of bus routes. We would recommend Lothian routes 16 (12-min/0.5 mile walk) or 10 (18-min/0.7 miles). Routes 18 and 45 are slightly further away (26-min/1 mile). Please select the "No bus transfer" tickets.
Unfortunately, we have very limited spaces on site, so please email event.support@sesscouts.org.uk before you book, so that we can make sure that there will be a space available on your chosen date/time. When booking, please select the "No bus transfer" ticket type.
Yes - the Gala is aimed at all of our youth members, plus their families. This includes other non-member children.
Yes - the gala is designed for children aged 4 and over, and our activities are aimed at various age groups from the age of 4 and up. However, you are welcome to bring along younger under-4s with their older siblings. You can add these to your order using the free "Under 4" ticket type.
