Session 3: Drama & Theatre

These informal gatherings are open to teachers delivering creative subjects or those interested in embedding creative approaches across the curriculum.

Our January session will be held at Darlington Hippodrome, where members from the Education team will offer a guided tour of the theatre and share the opportunities available for schools. We'll also have a guest theatre artist leading a practical session on drama techniques for young people.

This will be space for CPD, peer-to-peer connection, sharing of ideas, challenges and successes, and opportunities to collaborate across schools and settings.

These meet-ups have been developed in response to feedback from a brilliant network of teachers who took part in our pilot Creative Learning Action Research Project – a programme that brought together seven schools to co-design and deliver creative schemes of work in their classrooms.
