Session Four - Leadership in ELC: Empowering and Motivating Staff

In the fourth of this year's sessions on Leadership in ELC we will focus on understanding

how to empower and motivate staff teams using recent research and sharing good

practice. We will evaluate current practice and consider practical strategies to support you

to improve.

This is part of a six session programme exploring the role of the leader in ELC.

Attendees will benefit from improving their awareness of their own leadership strengths

and areas for development. Throughout the sessions you will be supported to reflect on

and improve your knowledge of the role of a leader in ELC and develop your skills in

leading others in ELC. Current frameworks, research, good practice guidance and sharing

good practice from across the authority will be used throughout the programme.

Each session will cover a different aspect of leadership in ELC, attendees are not

expected to attend all 6, but can if they choose. Please book on to each session

individually.
